In may 2017, two Renault Kangoo Z. E. took part in the tests on the Satory test track located in the French city of Versailles. This is a new type of road, equipped with an inductive charging system for electric vehicles with a length of 250 meters.To do this, Renault engineers in partnership with the American company Qualcomm Technologies and the French Institute VeDeCoM literally did the impossible: two electric vans could be charged at speeds up to 100 km/h, which is an unprecedented leap forward. The technology is promising once an economic breakthrough in the cost of road construction has been achieved.

Record power reserve of the electric car in 2016

In 2016, Renault announced a record power reserve of its ZOE, equipped with a battery that provides a power reserve on a single charge of 400 km (NEDC cycle) or, in actual use, 300 km on average for urban and suburban routes in changing weather conditions, which is equivalent to a trip from Paris to Brussels without stopping. Record sales of Renault electric vehicles
