The Geneva motor show 2019 is a car show where they say the electric car revolution is about to begin. Sales of electric vehicles are growing rapidly, but in comparison with cars with ice they are still low. European Union regulations that require automakers to produce electric vehicles in accordance with fuel efficiency regulations can open up a lot of opportunities for sales to Chinese manufacturers that already produce cheap electric vehicles.
According to the German car control Center (CAM), global sales of electric vehicles in 2018 amounted to 2.1 million, and in 2019 will grow to 2.8 million. Continue reading
The most interesting from the presentation Model Y of Elon musk: Tesla’s range now has become a “S3XY»
In the Tesla design Studio in Hawthorne, a presentation of the new model Y. electric car was held. Traditionally, the new electric car was represented by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who made not just a presentation, but a real excursion into the past, present and partially future, telling what the company was 10 years ago, what it is now and what it can be in the future.

Several countries, including France, Norway and the UK, are planning to abandon fossil-fuel-powered cars by 2040-50 to reduce air pollution and combat climate change. The idea is to replace cars with internal combustion engines by electric vehicles. However, this is unlikely to help the environment, as electric vehicles are charged with electricity, which is produced from the same “dirty” fossil fuel.
By 2040, global electricity consumption by electric vehicles will rise to 1,800 TWh — about five times the current annual electricity consumption in the UK. Using UK data as a benchmark, carbon emissions will amount to an additional 510 megatons coming from the electricity sector worldwide. But this figure can be significantly reduced if electricity is produced exclusively from renewable energy sources and not from fossil fuels. Continue reading
